Daniil Medvedev
US Open 2021 champion and world number one in 2022
Overview
The 6 foot 6 counterpuncher who plays like a wall with a flat serve won the 2021 US Open, denying Djokovic the calendar Grand Slam in the final. He won the 2020 ATP Finals and rose to number one in February 2022. Two major finals in 2021 plus the ATP Finals title proved his mettle. His nocturnal, unorthodox game confounds everyone.
