Overview
Mauresmo reached world number one in 2004 and won her two major titles in 2006, at the Australian Open and at Wimbledon, beating Justine Henin in both finals. Her one handed backhand and all court game stood out in a power era. After retiring she coached Andy Murray, captained French teams and in 2022 became tournament director of Roland Garros.
