The Shanghai Rolex Masters began in 2009 at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center with its magnolia shaped retractable roof. An October Masters 1000 on outdoor hard courts, it anchors the Asian swing. Djokovic won it four times, Federer twice, and its organization is routinely rated the best on tour by players.
