The baseline warrior with the caps and fist pumps won the French in 1991 and 1992 and the Australian in 1992 and 1993, reaching number one in 1992. His fitness and inside out forehand set the template for modern grinding. He led US Davis Cup teams and later founded InsideOut sports entertainment.
