Overview
In 1989 Muster was struck by a car in Key Biscayne the night after reaching the Miami final, suffering severe knee damage. He returned with remarkable determination, training while still in a brace, and became dominant on clay. He won the French Open in 1995 and reached world number one in 1996, the peak of a career built on fitness and relentless intensity.
