Fred Perry
Three straight Wimbledons from 1934 and a career Grand Slam
Overview
The son of a cotton spinner from Stockport won eight majors and three consecutive Wimbledon titles from 1934 to 1936, then turned professional. He completed a career Grand Slam before leaving the amateur ranks, and his 1936 Wimbledon crown stood as the last British men title for 77 years until Andy Murray won in 2013. The Fred Perry shirt bears his laurel.
