Overview

Lacoste won seven major singles titles between 1925 and 1929, including Wimbledon twice and the US Championships twice, built on steady baseline play and close study of opponents. He was a key member of the Four Musketeers who took the Davis Cup from the United States in 1927. In 1933 he launched the short sleeved crocodile logo shirt that grew into a global fashion company.
